Email Posting your Blog content on Posterous and more

I am always looking to find great functional websites that allow me to cover more ground as it comes to Search Engine Optimization.

From a Google alert I came to find the posterous blog of David Barnes http://davidbarneswork.posterous.com/ who has some great information on writing, outlines and creative ideas on How To write.
so I want to give this one a try as well.

It seems a pretty cool idea to just write an email and then have it posted on twitter, tumbler and blogger.com at the same time.

So here is my first mail blog post ever! Lets see how far this will take me, and if its good for seo, I will blog about it on my Joomla SEO blog as well.

Can you send posts to a Joomla site with posterous? I tried, but was not able to get it working. Any suggestions would be much appreciated.

@Dave, No, you can not, the only way to send posts via email to a Joomla site is to use a blogging component that supports this way of communication. Azrul's MyBlog does this I believe, the other one I know of is MMS Blog, but that is for version Joomla 1.0.x

@Dave - I haven't seen a component to do this yet, but you can create a Joomla! Menu Item -> Type Wrapper, Title it "Blog" and use your Posterous URL to "wrap" posterous into your Joomla! site.

I consider this "cheating" but it does the job. Its not as brandable as an internal component but it does the job until a component is developed.
